The Governor Gear Pump Key securely connects the rotor to the pump shaft, enabling the transfer of rotational motion from the shaft to the rotor. This connection is required for generating the pumping action within the pump. The pump key is made of durable steel material to withstand the forces and pressures encountered during pump operation. The key is inserted into the keyway of the rotor and aligned with the corresponding keyway on the pump shaft.
