A Rod Seal is used to prevent the leakage of fluids from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side of a hydraulic unit. It is placed in a seal gland or housing and is in direct contact with the shaft surface, creating a dynamic sealing interface. When the hydraulic unit is pressurized, the piston moves outward and presses against the seal, which deforms and creates a seal between the rod and the cylinder wall. It is resistant to hydraulic fluid and can withstand the pressures and temperatures of the hydraulic unit.

Applications:
