The Hydraulic Control Valve Detent Ejector is located within the spool housing of the hydraulic control valve. It consists of a spring-loaded plunger or ball bearing that engages with detent notches machined on the spool. When the operator selects a gear, the control valve spool moves, disengaging the detent from its notch. This allows the spool to freely move to the desired position for the selected gear. A return spring within the detent mechanism then re-engages the detent with the next available notch on the spool, holding it securely in place.
