A Ground Wire, also known as an earthing wire or grounding conductor, is a component in electrical systems. It is made of copper and serves the purpose of providing a safe path for electrical currents to flow into the Earth. Ground wires are used to protect people, equipment, and structures from electrical faults, such as short circuits, lightning strikes, or electrical leakage.

Attributes:
• Ensure low resistance and efficient dissipation of electrical currents.
• Securely connected to electrical equipment, grounding electrodes, and grounding conductors to ensure a continuous path to the ground.

Applications:
The Ground Wire is connected between one mounting bolt of the coolant flow switch and a bolt in the water pump on the engine. This will make sure the coolant flow switch has a good electrical ground connection. The coolant flow switch must have a good ground connection, or it can not activate the coolant flow warning light on the instrument panel.
