A Cylinder Block Side Cover Gasket is designed to create a secure seal between the cylinder block and the side cover of an engine. It generally prevents leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. It is a seal that fits between the cylinder block and the side cover to keep fluid leaks at bay. The Gasket ensures that oil does not leak out of the engine through the opening.
