A Compression Spring is a type of mechanical spring engineered and constructed to resist the compressive load applied to it. When a compressive force is applied, the coils are compressed and the spring stores the energy. The shape of the compression spring is cylindrical, with a helical coil that is tightly wound to resist compression.
Attributes:
• Provided with total coils of 7.1 and active coils of 5.1 that help to maintain their shape and stability
• Left-hand direction of coils helps prevent the spring from unwinding under this load, thus maintaining its tension
Applications:
A Compression Spring is used to absorb shock by compressing when a sudden force is applied, When the load is removed, the spring returns to its original position, releasing the stored energy.
