A Torsion Spring is a mechanical spring that works by twisting or rotating around its axis. It is made of a round wire and has two ends, with one end attached to a stationary object and the other end attached to a rotating object. When the rotating object is turned, the Spring resists the twisting motion and exerts torque in the opposite direction, which can be used to store and release energy.
Attributes:
• Provided with total coils of 5.5 as right-hand wound helical coils that help to maintain their shape and stability
• Helps to reduce the tendency for the latch to drift from its intended position
Applications:
A Torsion Spring is used to provide rotational resistance and flexibility to ensure that the latch returns to its neutral position when the operator releases the control lever in the suspension seat, providing a cushioning effect, and absorbing shock and vibration.
