A Drive Shaft Universal Joint, also known as a U-joint, is used to connect two shafts at an angle in a equipment's drivetrain. It consists of a cross-shaped yoke with four arms, each of which has a bearing at the end. These bearings are attached to the ends of the drive shaft and the driven shaft, allowing them to rotate independently of each other while still transmitting torque.
Attributes:
• Ensure to handle the torque and forces encountered in the drivetrain without premature failure
• Provided with a Rockwell hardness length of 45 - 54 with a depth of 6.6 to provide strength and rigidity
Applications:
A Drive Shaft Universal Joint ensures that power is transmitted smoothly and efficiently from the equipment's transmission to the wheels, even when there are variations in the alignment and angle between the transmission and the wheels.
