The Rear Bearing Cap Seal is installed between the bearing cap and the housing, creating a tight seal that keeps the lubricating oil or grease inside the bearing assembly and prevents the ingress of dirt, debris, and other contaminants. The seal's lip or garter spring design exerts a constant radial force against the bearing cap or housing surface, forming a tight seal that effectively seals the bearing and maintains the integrity of the lubricant.
