The Turbine Hub is an integral part of the torque converter unit, which enables the transmission to smoothly and efficiently transfer engine torque. Its primary role is to connect the engine-driven impeller to the transmission-driven turbine, allowing for the transfer of torque through the fluid coupling mechanism of the torque converter. The turbine hub converts the kinetic energy of the fluid into rotational motion, transmitting power to the transmission input shaft.
Attributes:
• Provides excellent vibration damping properties, withstands vibrations without compromising its functionality
• Provided with a Brinell Hardness scale of 3.4 to 3.7, withstands high level of impact
Applications:
The Turbine Hub is used to hold the turbine blades in the torque convertor unit, ensuring efficient transfer of power between the engine and the transmission.
