The Retainer Shim helps to adjust spaces, alignment, and fitment between two surfaces or parts. Shims are employed to fine-tune the fitment of parts, compensating for slight variations in dimensions and achieving desired clearances. Shims are used to align components ensure proper positioning and reduce vibration or noise. It ensures precise positioning and reduces wear on components.

Applications:
The Retainer Shim is used in the carrier which holds different gears and is sealed by using a retainer with other parts like a bolt, and lock washer and the carrier is placed inside the housing. The retainer shim helps to achieve the desired fit and is used stacked to achieve the required thickness or alignment between the carrier and retainer.
