An Alternator Rotor is designed to produce a magnetic field for electricity generation, it consists of a rotor shaft with field windings wrapped around it. When the rotor is spun by the engine via a drive belt, the magnetic field generated by the rotor induces an electrical current in the stator windings of the alternator. This current is then rectified and regulated to produce the electrical power required for the equipment's electrical system, including lights, accessories, and controls.
