A Compression Spring is used in an oil filter to provide a force that opposes the hydraulic force acting on the filter element assembly. It is used to resist the compressive load or force applied to it. When a compressive force is applied, the coils are compressed and the Spring stores the energy. The shape of the compression spring is cylindrical, with a helical coil that is tightly wound to resist compression.
Attributes:
• Provided with a spring rate of 1.72 N/mm, which provides high stiffness to the spring
• Provided with total coils of 5 as right-hand wound helical coil that helps to maintain the strength and stability
Applications:
A Compression Spring provides a resisting force against the movement of the filter element. This helps to ensure that the filter element remains securely in place within the filter housing.
