A Water Temperature Switch operates based on the principle of temperature sensing. When the engine coolant reaches a specific temperature, the switch is triggered, completing an electrical circuit that activates the cooling fan. Once the temperature decreases below the set threshold, the switch deactivates the fan, conserving energy and preventing overcooling.
