A Compression Spring is defined as an elastic machine element, which deflects (compresses) under the action of the load i.e. the external force tends to shorten the spring, and returns to its original shape when the load is removed. The helical spring is made from a wire of circular cross-section, which is bent in the form of a helix. The external force acts along the axis of the spring and induces torsional shear stress in the spring wire.

Attributes:
• Right-hand direction helps prevent the spring from unwinding under this load, thus maintaining its tension
• Provided with total coils of 11 and active coils of 9 that help to maintain their shape and stability

Applications:
A Compression Spring ensures the proper functioning of the valve by providing the necessary force to actuate the valve mechanism. It helps to maintain the desired pressure or position of the valve, allowing for precise control of fluid flow in the unit.
