An Oil Pressure Shutoff Cover provides a controlled shutdown of the engine in the event of low oil pressure, which can occur due to mechanical failure or lack of lubrication. The shutoff cover is located on the fuel injection pump, and it contains a spring-loaded valve that is held open by engine oil pressure. When the engine is running and oil pressure is sufficient, the valve remains open, allowing fuel to flow to the injection pump and enabling normal engine operation.
Attributes:
• Create a tight seal between the cover and the pump housing, preventing oil leaks
• Ensure a reliable and consistent shutoff response at the appropriate oil pressure threshold
• Provided with 2 mounting holes to fit the fastener of size 1/4"
Applications:
An Oil Pressure Shutoff Cover is used to allow engine oil to flow through the cover and provide lubrication to the fuel injection pump and governor components.
