The Crankshaft Pulley serves as a link between the engine's power and the auxiliary systems that require mechanical energy. The primary purpose of the crankshaft pulley is to transmit power to accessory components, such as the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, and water pump. It achieves this using one or more drive belts or a serpentine belt. These belts are tightly wrapped around the pulley and are connected to the different accessory pulleys. When the engine runs, the crankshaft pulley's rotation causes the belts to turn, which, in turn, drives the auxiliary components, allowing them to function.
