The Locking Block Spring operates on the principle of elasticity, storing mechanical energy when compressed and releasing it to exert a force that keeps the windshield locked. When the operator engages the locking mechanism, the tension on the spring secures the locking block firmly against the windshield frame. Releasing the lock allows the spring to return to its original state, thereby disengaging the windshield while retaining its structure.
