653-3759: Drive Train Coupling Kit

The drive tang coupling kit is needed because it provides a less expensive repair option for the HPCR pump. When a fuel transfter pump fails and damages the coupling tang on the high pressure fuel pump, the whole high pressure fuel pump ($20K) has to be replaced which is a costly and time consuming repair. The introduction of a coupling kit allows the customer to simply replace the drive tang/plate and 3 bolts on the high pressure fuel pump while it is mounted on the engine. The cost of repair is in the low hundreds and just a 30 min job instead of a half day job.
