644-8189: Diesel Exhaust Fluid Level Indicator

Cat® Diesel Exhaust Fluid level indicator is a device that monitors the amount of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in the reservoir tank of vehicles that use selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to reduce harmful emissions. DEF is a solution of urea and water that is injected into the exhaust stream of diesel vehicles to transform nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. The diesel exhaust fluid level indicator consists of a sensor that measures the fluid level in the tank and a warning system that alerts the driver when the fluid level is low or when there is a problem with the DEF system.
