635-8664: Engine Exhaust Valve

An Engine Exhaust Valve is located in the cylinder head, this valve opens at precise moments during the engine cycle to release the hot, burnt exhaust gases produced during combustion. Once the exhaust gases are expelled, the valve closes to seal the combustion chamber, allowing fresh air-fuel mixture to be drawn in for the next cycle. It consists of a valve stem, valve head, and valve seat. The valve stem connects the valve head to the valve system, allowing it to open and close.
