630-4005: Prelubrication Pump

A Prelubrication Pump delivers pressurized oil to engine components before the engine cranks for startup. This ensures that these components have a protective layer of oil to minimize friction and wear during the initial moments of engine operation. It consists of a pump unit, an oil reservoir or tank, control valves, sensors, and a power source. The pump unit pressurizes the lubricating oil, which is stored in the reservoir or tank. Control valves and sensors regulate the operation of the pump, and the power source drives the pump.
