An Air Conditioner Thermostat operates by using a temperature sensor to continuously measure the cabin air temperature. The digital control unit then compares this measured temperature to the user-set target temperature and makes adjustments to the air conditioning unit accordingly. If the cabin temperature is higher than the set point, the thermostat will signal the compressor to increase cooling, and if the temperature is lower, it will reduce the cooling output to maintain the desired comfort level.
