Cat® Rod Assemblies are manufactured for long service life, minimal maintenance, and high operational reliability. Cat® Rod Assemblies consist of an eye-shaped head with an integral shank that forms the housing for a bearing. Bearings reduce friction and provide protection between mating parts. Cat® Rod connects a hydraulic cylinder to the machine component doing the work. Most Cat® Hydraulic Rods are induction hardened and chromed for superior scratch and dent resistance. Additionally, most Cat® Hydraulic rods also feature an inertia welded eye joint for maximum durability.

Application:
Cat® Rod Assemblies are used in hydraulic cylinder systems of Cat machines. They are specifically designed for low to medium-speed, high-load applications. Typically used in applications where strength is crucial. Consult your owner's manual or contact your local Cat Dealer for more information.
