A Chip Detector Magnetic Plug continuously monitors the condition of the lubricating fluid as it circulates through the machinery. It operates on the principle that when metal components within the machine wear or experience damage, tiny metal particles are generated. These particles become suspended in the lubricating fluid. The chip detector is equipped with a strong magnet that attracts and retains these metal particles.
