The Thermostat Temperature Switch operates on the principle of thermal expansion. As the monitored temperature rises, the internal thermally-sensitive element expands, triggering the opening of the electrical contacts within the switch. This interruption of the electrical circuit effectively disconnects the associated component or unit, protecting it from the damaging effects of excessive heat. Once the temperature drops, the thermally-sensitive element contracts, allowing the electrical contacts to close and restore the circuit.
