614-8952: 8 Amps Miniature Circuit Breaker

A Miniature Circuit Breaker disconnects the circuit during sustained overcurrent conditions. It consists of a housing made from non-conductive plastic for insulation, containing a bimetallic strip and an electromagnet. The bimetallic strip heats up as current passes through it, and under overload conditions, it will deform and trip a lever, interrupting the circuit. The electromagnet reacts to sudden surges in current (short circuits) and triggers a quicker tripping mechanism to disconnect the circuit.
