Cat® Rod Assemblies are manufactured for long service life, minimal maintenance and high operational reliability. Cat® Rod Assemblies consist of an eye-shaped head with an integral shank that forms the housing for a bearing. Bearings reduce friction and provide protection between mating parts. Cat® Rod connects a hydraulic cylinder to the machine component doing the work. Most Cat® Hydraulic Rods are induction hardened and chromed for superior scratch and dent resistance. Additionally, most Cat® hydraulic rods also feature an inertia welded eye joint for maximum durability.

Application:
Cat® Rod Assemblies are used in hydraulic cylinder systems of Cat machines. They are specifically designed for low to medium speed, high load applications. Typically used in applications where strength is crucial. Consult your owner's manual or contact your local Cat Dealer for more information.
