A Lift Cylinder is designed to convert Hydraulic fluid pressure into linear mechanical force, allowing for the lifting or lowering of heavy loads. It consists of a cylindrical body, piston, piston rod, seals, Cylinder Head, and cap. When Hydraulic fluid is supplied under pressure to one side of the Cylinder, it acts on a piston within the Cylinder, creating a force that pushes the piston and extends a connected rod. This force is then transmitted through the rod, enabling the Cylinder to lift or support the load.
Attributes:
• Allows for variable force generation based on the Hydraulic pressure applied
• Provides precise control over the lifting and lowering movements
Applications:
A Lift Cylinder acts as a linear actuator within a Hydraulic unit, allowing for the lifting, lowering, or supporting of heavy loads
