An External Retainer Ring, also known as an external snap ring is used to hold the components in place, ensuring that they remain securely attached to the unit, preventing them from slipping or coming loose during operation. The ring is circular with a gap that allows it to be placed onto the rod or shaft without having to slide it over the end of the rod or shaft. It is made of durable material to withstand the loads and stresses that are generated during operation.
