A Compression Spring is a type of mechanical Spring constructed to resist the compressive load applied to it. When a compressive force is applied, the coils are compressed, and the spring stores the energy. The shape of the compression spring is cylindrical, with a helical coil that is tightly wound to resist compression. It is placed between the drum and the retainer in the steering clutch.
Attributes:
• The direction of coils in the compression spring is right-hand side, which provides enhanced stability in the unit
• Provides rapid response when the clutch engagement or disengagement is required
Applications:
