An Alternator Stator is a stationary component comprising a cylindrical core made from thin, insulated steel laminations to minimize eddy current losses. Embedded within this core are multiple copper windings, precisely positioned to form a three-phase Alternating Current (AC) generator. The stator remains fixed while the rotor, carrying a magnetic field, rotates within it. This relative motion induces an alternating voltage in the stator windings, which is subsequently rectified to produce Direct Current (DC) for charging the machine's battery.
