A Magnetostrictive Linear Position Sensor used for the lift cylinder utilizes the principle of magnetostriction to accurately detect and measure the position of the cylinder. During the measurement of the position, a current pulse is applied to a coil which creates a magnetic field around the waveguide. As the lift cylinder moves, a position magnet or float, which is attached to the cylinder and moves along with it, interacts with the magnetic field.

Applications:
A Magnetostrictive Linear Position Sensor detects the magnetic field variations caused by the mechanical strain and converts them into an electrical signal. This electrical signal is then processed and used to determine the precise position of the lift cylinder.
