The Air Cleaner Intake Shroud is located at the front of the air cleaner assembly. It mounts directly onto the air cleaner housing using clips or fasteners. The shroud has an inlet opening that allows fresh air to enter the system. This opening might be covered with a pre-filter screen to capture larger particles before they reach the main air filter element. The shroud then channels the air through its internal design, directing it toward the air filter for cleaning.
