An Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler is used to reduce the temperature of the exhaust gas before it is recirculated back into the engine. It works by cooling the exhaust gas to reduce the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the engine's emissions. Cooler recirculates a portion of the exhaust gas into the engine's intake unit, where it is mixed with fresh air and fuel.
