Description:
The relief valve assembly typically consists of a valve, a spring, and a seat. The valve is held closed against the seat by the force of the spring, which is preloaded to a specific level. When the pressure in the system exceeds the predetermined limit, the force on the valve overcomes the force of the spring, causing the valve to lift off the seat and allow fluid or gas to escape through an outlet port. This relieves the excess pressure in the system, preventing damage or failure to critical components.
