The Intake Air Manifold Pressure Sensor is mounted on the intake manifold, which is a chamber that distributes air to the engine cylinders. The sensor has a diaphragm or pressure-sensitive element that detects the pressure difference between the intake manifold and the atmosphere. This pressure differential reflects the engine's load and operating conditions. The sensor converts this pressure difference into an electrical signal that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) interprets. Capable of sensing from 33 to 600 kPa, covering a broad spectrum of applications.
Attributes:
• Withstands up to 1200 kPa (proof pressure) and 1800 kPa (burst pressure)
• Reliable performance with a cycle life of 10 million full-scale cycles
• Operates in a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, with storage capabilities from -55°C to +135°C
• Approved for use with air, diesel exhaust mixtures, biodiesel, engine oil, diesel fuel, and natural gas
Applications:
The Intake Air Manifold Pressure Sensor measures the pressure of the air within the intake manifold of a machine's engine. This pressure information helps the Engine Control Unit (ECU) determine the amount of air entering the engine.
