Description:
A Backup Ring, also known as a support ring or anti-extrusion ring, is a mechanical device used in conjunction with O-rings or other types of seals to enhance their sealing performance in high-pressure or dynamic applications. The primary purpose of a backup ring is to prevent extrusion or deformation of the primary sealing element under demanding conditions.
