The Crankshaft Seal helps to prevent the leakage of oil from the crankshaft housing. These seals are to accommodate the rotational direction of the crankshaft, ensuring effective sealing performance under the dynamic conditions of engine operation. The rotational direction of the crankshaft creates unique forces and pressures on the seals, which must be effectively countered to maintain a reliable seal.
Attributes:
• Prevent oil from escaping the crankshaft housing and entering the timing system or the engine compartment
• Serve to contain the lubricating oil within the crankshaft housing and prevent it from leaking onto the transmission or the ground
Applications:
The Crankshaft Seal is used to ensure proper alignment and seating of the seals to prevent any potential leakage points and maintain the integrity of the engine's lubrication unit.
