The Fan Drive Assembly regulates the temperature of the engine. It does this by engaging the cooling fan when the engine reaches a certain temperature threshold. The fan helps to dissipate heat from the engine by drawing air through the radiator. The Fan Drive is responsible for engaging and disengaging the fan based on the temperature of the engine.
