An Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield is used to protect the nearby components of the Engine from heat generated by the Exhaust gases. The Heat Shield helps to improve engine performance by reducing heat soak. Heat Soak occurs when the Engine components absorb heat from the Exhaust gases. The Shield is securely attached to the Exhaust using fasteners to ensure that the shield remains in place preventing any misalignments.
