A Hood Top Cover is an acoustic cover, to reduce the noise produced by the engine. It is located at the top of the front hood and protects the internal components of the engine assembly. The primary function of the cover is to shield the engine and engine bay from external elements. It includes a cover assembly and inserts that help shield the engine from dirt, debris, water, and other contaminants that could cause damage or affect their performance.
Attributes:
• Features an inner surface with glass fiber-reinforced polyurethane foam to reduce engine noise transmission
• Withstands vibrations and shocks that are generated during operation
Applications:
A Hood Top Cover is used on top of the front hood to absorb sound waves generated by the engine and its associated components, reducing the overall noise level and providing a comfortable environment.
