The Ball Bearing consists of two concentric rings, known as the inner and outer raceways, between which small metal balls are positioned. These balls serve as rolling elements that reduce the contact surface area and allow for efficient movement. This Bearing is positioned between the Spur Gear and the Shaft in a Pump drive to prevent wear loss due to direct contact.

Applications:
The Ball Bearing supports and guides the shaft of the pump gear assembly while minimizing friction and wear, enabling smooth operation and efficient performance. This rolling motion significantly reduces friction compared to plain bearings where sliding contact occurs, leading to less heat generation, wear, and tear.
