A Tamper Bar Wear Plate protects the tamper bars and other associated components of the screed extender from excessive wear and damage caused by contact with abrasive materials, rocks, or other hard surfaces. The wear plate acts as a sacrificial layer, absorbing the brunt of the abrasive forces and impact from the asphalt material, thereby reducing the wear of the tamper bars and minimizing the need for frequent maintenance or replacement.
Attributes:
• Hardened to Rockwell C scale hardness value of 52-58HRC to increase the strength and wear resistance
• Endures the abrasive forces and high-impact conditions encountered during asphalt paving operations
Applications:
A Tamper Bar Wear Plate is used to absorb and dissipate the wear and impact forces that the tamper bar faces during operation, thus protecting the larger and more expensive components of the screed extender.
