The Screed Extended Tamper Bar is responsible for leveling and compacting the asphalt or concrete material during the paving process. The tamper bar is mounted horizontally across the width of the screed and is equipped with a series of tamping feet or compaction elements that make contact with the freshly laid material. It applies downward pressure and compacts the paving material to achieve the desired density and smoothness.
