The Reel Sprocket helps to guide and control the motion of the reel. The sprocket has 11 individual teeth around its circumference. The number of teeth directly impacts the sprocket's pitch diameter and how it engages with the chain or belt. The center bore or mounting hole in the reel sprocket is sized to fit over and be secured to the reel shaft or axle.

• Provides a secure, positive engagement with the links of the chain or the grooves in a belt

Applications:
The Reel Sprocket includes small flanges or collars on the sides to help locate and retain the sprocket in the proper position on the shaft. The reel sprocket is chosen to provide the desired ratio of reel rotation speed to the speed of the chain or belt drive. This allows the reel to turn at the optimum speed relative to the overall system.
