The Diesel Exhaust Fluid Control Module is an electronic control unit located within the engine compartment, near the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank and injector. It receives signals from various sensors, including engine temperature, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank level, and exhaust gas pressure. Based on this data, the module precisely regulates the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector, controlling the amount and timing of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injection into the exhaust stream. This process helps reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from the engine, meeting stringent emission regulations.
