The Diesel Exhaust Fluid Electronic Control is located within the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) module, which itself is mounted on the frame of the machine near the engine. It receives signals from various engine sensors, such as exhaust gas temperature and engine RPM, to calculate the appropriate DEF injection rate. It then controls a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing pump to precisely deliver the calculated amount of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) into the exhaust upstream of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system.
