The Deep Groove Ball Bearing is a type of rolling contact bearing which consists of an inner race that is mounted on the Pinion shaft and an outer race that is carried by the housing of the Reduction Gear Unit. In between the inner and outer race, rolling elements the radius of the ball is slightly less than the radii of curvature of the grooves in the races providing point contact between the balls and the races. Therefore, the balls and the races may roll freely without any sliding.

• Consists of 14 balls each of diameter 15.081mm enclosed in a Steel Cage
• High load-carrying capacity in the radial as well as the axial direction
• Less frictional loss and therefore low resultant temperature rise

Applications:
The Deep Groove Ball Bearing uses ball bearings to support a Pinion Shaft. The balls roll smoothly between the rings, minimizing friction and wear on the shaft. Deep groove ball bearings can handle significant radial and axial loads.
