An Engine Radiator is a part of the machine's cooling system made to regulate and dissipate heat generated by the engine. It is located at the front of the machine, behind the grille, to maximize airflow for cooling. The radiator consists of a series of thin tubes or channels connected to fins that increase the surface area for heat transfer. Coolant, circulated from the engine, passes through these tubes while air flows over the fins, promoting heat exchange and cooling the coolant. This process helps regulate the engine's temperature, preventing overheating and ensuring efficient performance.
Attributes:
• Prevents overheating thereby protecting engine components from heat-related damage
• Handles the significant heat and pressure generated within the machine's cooling system
Applications:
An Engine Radiator acts as a heat exchanger, transferring heat absorbed by the engine coolant to the surrounding air. This keeps the engine within its optimal operating temperature range, ensuring efficient performance and preventing potential damage.
